Costa Rica

My trip to Costa Rica was nothing short of an awe-inspiring experience. Learning from the locals also known “Ticos” has shown mean what Pura Vida really means. Not only was I fortunate enough to witness human compassion in action, but I also had the opportunity to immerse myself in the beauty of this tropical paradise. Costa Rica is known for their lush rainforests; this served as an ideal backdrop for the animal sanctuary I worked with Lands In Love . The sanctuary, nestled amidst the cloud forest, provided a safe haven for a myriad of wildlife species. It was heartwarming to witness the dedicated team of volunteers and professionals working tirelessly to rehabilitate and protect these animals. Moreover, the resort-like atmosphere of Costa Rica made my stay all the more enjoyable, allowing me to relax and rejuvenate amidst nature's splendor. My humanitarian trip to Costa Rica truly exemplified the harmonious coexistence of wildlife conservation and idyllic retreat, leaving an indelible mark on my heart. Me encanta los ticos y naturaleza de Costa Rica !Pura vida!
Activities
My time ziplining, canyoning, and hiking through the Costa Rican jungle was an adrenaline-filled adventure that left me in awe of nature's wonders. As I soared high above the lush canopy, suspended by a sturdy harness, the exhilarating rush of wind and the breathtaking panoramic views took my breath away. The vibrant greenery enveloping me as I descended into the canyon, navigating through its narrow passages and cascading waterfalls, made me feel as if I had stepped into a hidden paradise. And as I ventured further into the dense jungle, immersing myself in its untamed beauty, my senses were heightened by the sights, sounds, and scents of the exotic wildlife and flora that surrounded me. Although the challenges of navigating rugged terrains and steep inclines tested my endurance, the rewards of witnessing the hidden gems tucked away in this tropical paradise made every step worthwhile.

Vegan Delights at Lands in Love Resort
May 24, 2023
Recently, I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Lands in Love Resort in Costa Rica. I’m not a vegan, but I’m always on the lookout for delicious restaurants. And let me tell you, Lands in Love Resort exceeded all my expectations. The restaurant is located adjacent the the lobby which is super convenient after a long day of excursions.
The menu at Lands in Love Resort is a celebration of the bright flavors with Israeli influences that can be achieved with plant-based ingredients. As I perused through the extensive selection, I couldn't help but marvel at the creativity and dedication put into each dish.
The chef and the owners are from Israel so I was really excited to try some of the specialties such as the Vegan Shawarma, Israeli Plate, and Falafel. Every dish was extremely delicious and you can’t go wrong with any of the options on the menu.
The presentation of each plate was a work of art, lovingly arranged with colorful vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers. What impressed me most about Lands in Love Resort was their ability to transform familiar dishes into vegan alternatives without compromising on taste or quality. Their plant-based take on traditional favorites, such as the creamy coconut milk-based desserts and tofu-based proteins, proved that vegan food can be both indulgent and wholesome. At Lands in Love Resort, I didn't just enjoy a meal; I embarked on a culinary journey food.
